A Message from the Blackberry Festival Committee:
We would like to invite everyone to attend the 23rd Sutherlin Blackberry Festival and enjoy all that we have to offer. Our Festival was awarded “Top Festival in the County” according to the News Review, and we would like to keep that title and continue to bring our event to you every year. Blackberry is a non-profit organization of a group of people that get together and provide a Festival once a year to Sutherlin. Our Festival is only one way that the community sees that we give back. We have continually sought to make Sutherlin a better place to enjoy living. The Blackberry Festival is proud to bring you a festival each year, purely put together by volunteers. These volunteers spend countless hours trying to make the perfect event. If you happen to see one, let them know that they are appreciated, because if we didn’t have our volunteers, we would not have Blackberry.
Our Festival is a nonprofit organization for charity with a 501(c)(3) status. All of the funds raised during the Festival are returned to our community. We have helped folks with cancer treatment, donated parklands, given funds to promote a skate park and many other needs. This year our committee gave 13 scholarships to deserving students from Sutherlin and Oakland High Schools. It is our hope that these graduates can utilize the funds we provide to grow and learn, and someday bring hope to others.
See you at the festival!
